Publish SEO-optimized articles from Junia AI to WordPress with one connection key. No application passwords needed.

== Description ==

[Junia AI](https://www.junia.ai) is an AI writing platform for long-form, search-optimized content. This plugin connects your WordPress site to your Junia AI workspace so you can publish, schedule and update articles from Junia AI as posts or pages.

**What you get**

* **One-key setup.** Copy the site URL and connection key from this plugin into Junia AI. No application passwords or Basic Auth needed, and it works on hosts that strip the Authorization header.
* **Your editorial controls.** Pick the author, categories, tags and draft/publish status for each article in Junia AI.
* **Featured images.** Images are uploaded to your Media Library and set as the featured image.
* **SEO fields filled in.** SEO titles and meta descriptions are saved to Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO, SEOPress or The SEO Framework, whichever you use.
* **Update in place.** Articles you improve in Junia AI update the existing post instead of creating duplicates.
* **Activity overview.** See every article Junia AI has published to your site, with its status and author.

**How it works**

Junia AI talks to the standard WordPress REST API. Requests that carry your site's connection key run as the publishing account you choose, with that account's normal permissions. Nothing is sent from your site to Junia AI unless Junia AI asks for it.

Already connected with a WordPress application password? That connection keeps working. Switching to the plugin is optional.

== Installation ==

1. Install the plugin from **Plugins → Add New**, or upload the `junia-ai` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`.
2. Activate **Junia AI**. You'll be taken to the **Junia AI** screen in your admin menu.
3. Check the **Publish as** account. It must be able to publish posts.
4. In Junia AI, go to **Integrations**, click **Connect** on **Publish to WordPress**, choose **Junia AI plugin**, paste your site URL and connection key, and click **Connect**.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Do I need an application password? =

No. The connection key replaces it. If you already connected with an application password, that still works.

= Which account do articles get published as? =

The **Publish as** account on the Junia AI screen. When you publish from Junia AI you can still pick a different author for each article.

= What if my key leaks? =

Click **Generate a new key** on the Junia AI screen. The old key stops working right away. Then paste the new key into your Junia AI integration.

= Junia AI says it can't reach my site =

Make sure your permalinks aren't set to "Plain" (Settings → Permalinks), and that no security plugin or firewall is blocking the REST API (`/wp-json/`) or the `X-Junia-Key` request header.

= Does it work on Multisite? =

Yes. Each site in the network has its own connection key and publishing account.

== External services ==

This plugin makes no outbound requests. Your Junia AI workspace connects to your site's REST API to publish and read content. Requests are authenticated with the connection key shown on the plugin screen.

Data exchanged with Junia AI when you use it:

* Article content, title, slug, excerpt, status, author, categories, tags, featured image and SEO fields, sent to your site when you publish.
* Lists of your authors, categories and tags, and the content of posts you choose to import or improve, read from your site.
