# Connect Wix to Junia AI

Use the Wix integration to publish articles from Junia directly to your Wix blog.

## Before you start

You’ll need:

- your **Wix Site ID**
- a **Wix API key** with Wix Blog permissions

Once connected, you can publish posts to Wix without copying content manually.

## Step 1, find your Wix Site ID

1. Log in to your Wix account.
2. Open the site you want to connect.
3. Look at the URL in your browser.
4. Copy the site identifier shown in the Wix dashboard URL.
5. For example, copy the value after `metaSiteId` in the screenshot below.

## Step 2, create a Wix API key

1. In Wix, open **Account Settings**.
2. Scroll down and open **API Keys**.
3. Create a new API key.
4. Give it a clear name, for example `Junia Wix Integration`.
5. Enable the permissions needed for **Wix Blog**.
6. Complete email verification if Wix prompts you.
7. Copy the generated API key.

## Step 3, connect Wix inside Junia

1. In Junia, go to **Integrations**.
2. Click **Wix**.
3. Enter your **Site ID**.
4. Paste your **API key**.
5. Save the integration.

After saving, Junia will use this connection when publishing to your Wix blog.

## Publishing to Wix

After your integration is connected, you can publish articles from Junia to Wix.

Depending on your setup, you can:

- publish immediately
- save as draft first
- choose the Wix member used for publishing
- select categories and tags before publishing

## Troubleshooting

### Invalid credentials

Double-check that:

- the Site ID matches the correct Wix site
- the API key was copied fully
- the API key includes Wix Blog permissions

### No Wix members available

If publishing requires a Wix member, make sure your Wix site has at least one valid member account available.

## Tips

- Use a dedicated API key for Junia so it is easier to manage later.
- Test with a draft post first before publishing live.
- If you manage multiple Wix sites, create one integration per site.

# Connect to Self-hosted WordPress Site With Username and Application Password

With Junia AI's WordPress Integration, you can connect to multiple WordPress sites and choose which site to publish to. This is useful if you are managing multiple WordPress sites.

**Note**:

1. If you use Namecheap to host your WordPress, scroll down to the **Troubleshooting** section as Namecheap uses a user-level password instead of an application password.
2. Even if you think you entered the correct username and password, check again. This accounts for 99.9% of failed connections. Remember that your username is probably not your email. Double-check for case sensitivity, special characters, and spaces.
3. Your username is the one you use to log in to your WordPress site, not the "Application Password Name".

2. Scroll down to find the Application Passwords and generate an application password.

3. To complete the integration, return to Junia's integration interface at https://www.junia.ai/dashboard/integrations. Look for the WordPress option, input your WordPress credentials and click on "connect." Follow the rest of the instructions provided.

## Troubleshooting

If you encounter errors concerning your WordPress connection, they are due to one of the following three reasons, **which account for 100% of the cases we've observed from our users**:

#### 1. Typo In Username Or PassWord

This accounts for __99.9% of the cases__ why the connection failed. When users claim that their username/password is correct and have given us access to their WordPress, we have discovered that the username/password is often incorrect. For example, it may be due to incorrect casing or a missing character.

#### 2. Incorrect WordPress URL

When entering your WordPress URL, make sure to input the accurate full address. For instance, if the URL of your WordPress site is `https://www.junia.ai`, you should enter it just like that, `https://www.junia.ai`. Do not add any additional paths or parameters to the end of the URL such as `https://www.junia.ai/admin.php`. It should not be `junia.ai` either but rather the full URL. The exact URL is critical for successful integration and connectivity.

#### 3. Your Web Hosting Doesn't Support Application Passwords

It's also likely that there's an issue with the application password because your web hosting platform may not have adequate support. We recommend generating a user-level password and using it as the Application Password.

You can find the interface for generating a user-level password on the same profile page by scrolling down to the "Account Management" section and clicking on "Set New Password":

**Note**: Remember to click on the "Update User" button after generating the Password.

#### 4. Your WordPress Account Doesn't Have the Proper Access Right

If you have recently made any changes to your WordPress user roles or permissions, it is possible that your profile may not have the necessary access rights to connect with external applications. To rectify this, you can navigate to the "Users" section in your WordPress dashboard and ensure that your profile has the appropriate role and capabilities assigned to it. If needed, you can edit your profile or contact your website administrator for assistance in granting the required access rights.

#### 5. Security Plugins

There might be some security plugins or firewall settings on your website that are blocking the connection between WordPress and the external application. To troubleshoot this, you can temporarily deactivate any security plugins or modify their settings to allow the connection.

#### 6. Change Permalink Structure

Click on "Settings" in the left sidebar, click on "Permalinks," locate the "Permalink Structure" section, and choose any option other than "Plain.

**It's almost impossible for the connection to fail after trying all the above solutions**, as we haven't seen any other cases otherwise so far. **The number one reason is still wrong username and password**, even if you think you typed in the correct information. Double-check your input and make sure there are no spelling mistakes or extra spaces and make sure the username you enter is the one you use to log in to your WordPress account.

# Junia AI API

The Junia AI API allows you to interact with the Junia platform programmatically. You can use this API to fetch published articles and integrate them into your own applications.

__Note: We recommend not to use Postman to test the API integration as it is an unreliable tool.__

## Publish Your Articles

To make your articles available to the Junia API, you need to publish them either:

1.  Via the bulk generator to have the articles published automatically to our API once the articles are generated.
2.  Or you can publish them using the publishing option in the Junia AI Editor. Please see the screenshot below:

__Remember to republish your article to the Junia AI API every time you make an edit to ensure that the latest version is available through the API.__

## Authentication

To use the Junia AI API, you'll need to obtain an API key. You can generate an API key by navigating to the "API Key" section in your Junia dashboard settings at <https://www.junia.ai/dashboard/settings>.

Once you have your API key, you'll need to include it in the `x-api-key` header for all your API requests.

## Fetching All Published Articles

To retrieve a list of all published articles, make a `POST` request to the following endpoint:

__https://api-v1.junia.ai/api/public/collections__

You can include the following optional parameters in the request body:

*   `excludeSlugs` (string): A comma-separated list of article slugs that you want to exclude from the response.
*   `includeSlugs` (string): A comma-separated list of article slugs that you want to include in the response.
*   `includeContent` (boolean): If set to `true`, the response will include the HTML content of each article. Setting this to `false` (the default) can improve performance by only returning the article metadata.
*  `offset` (number): The number of articles to skip before starting to return results. Default is 0.
* `limit` (number): The maximum number of articles to return. Default is 30.

#### Pagination

The API uses offset-based pagination. By default, it will return 30 articles per request. You can use the `offset` and `limit` parameters to control the pagination:

- Use `offset` to skip a certain number of articles (e.g., set `offset: 30` to get the second page of results when using the default limit).
- Use `limit` to specify how many articles you want to receive per request.

3.  Click on "Add Custom Integration" and add the integration.

## Troubleshooting

If you encounter errors concerning your Ghost connection, they are due to one of the following three reasons:

#### 1. Incorrect Ghost URL

When entering your Ghost URL, make sure they are in the following format: https://your-ghost-blog-name.ghost.io

#### 2. Your Post Is Being Edited Somewhere Else

If publishing the post failed, it could mean your post is being edited in the ghost editor in a different tab or by a different user. Make sure you save the changes, close those tabs, and edit your post in Junia instead.

# Connect to Shopify

With Shopify integration, you can publish your article directly to your Shopify store from Junia AI.

This process requires several steps:

### Known Limitation

Shopify does not allow a way to modify the meta title and meta description of your article programmatically, so you will need to manually modify these fields within your Shopify store after publishing the article.

### Troubleshooting

If the integration doesn't work after entering the correct credentials, they are due to one of the following two reasons, __which account for 100% of the cases we've observed from our users__:

#### 1. Incorrect Shopify URL

Shopify URLs must contain "**myshopify**" within the address. This is a Shopify requirement, and it helps to identify your specific store within the platform.

For instance, if your store name is Junia and you're trying to enter the URL as "junia.ai", Shopify won't recognize this as a valid format. Instead, you should enter it as "junia.myshopify.com". This format tells Shopify that this store belongs to the 'myshopify' domain and therefore is a valid store.

So, always remember to include ".myshopify" in your Shopify URL for successful integration.

**Note**: In some rare cases, your store URL may not be what is displayed in your browser's address bar. If you continue to encounter issues with the connection and believe you have entered the correct store URL, __we recommend contacting Shopify support. Inform them that you need to know the URL of your Shopify store for custom app development purposes.__

#### 2. Duplicate Article Titles

An error may also occur if the title of the article you're trying to publish has already been published in your Shopify store. If you wish to publish an article that has already been published, ensure that you input the existing article's "id" during the publishing process.

#### 3. Your account is limited by Shopify

Sometimes, Shopify may impose certain limitations on accounts, especially for new accounts. You would need to double-check if you receive any messages from Shopify that you need to further verify your identity, etc. Alternatively, you can contact Shopify to get your account unblocked.

## Importing HTML

Junia AI offers two ways to import HTML content: either paste the HTML directly or upload an HTML file.

### Pasting HTML Directly

1.  Copy all your HTML (Ctrl+C / Cmd+C).
2.  In our AI Editor, paste your copied content (Ctrl+V / Cmd+V).

### Uploading an HTML File

1.  In our AI Editor, click on the 'Import' button on the left-hand side and choose 'HTML'.
